I wanted to share something relevant with my previous post "Indonesia's 2015 Forest Fire Crisis". Most of you may have watched this already, but what caught my heart the most is this episode.

According to Schuttenhelm (2015), this year?s forest fire could add up to 29% extra CO2 to global emissions. Science backed this through the El Nino fact and drought which made the carbon-storing peat-land easy to be burnt.

I found this case and video highly interesting as it explored more on the difficult social and human problems, in addition to the straightforward science. The misdirected use of power, lack of governance, and ineffective politics have ignited corruption and utter disrespect of law.

It is not easy to solve such agenda, when the discussion comes down to employment and economic growth. Yet something, must and could still be done.
