Climate Strike

by | 16-11-2015 21:19 recommendations 0

At the Global Youth Submit in Tutzing in May 2015, youths from five continents came up with the idea of a global school strike for climate action. They are organizing globally coordinated climate action with the aim to involve youths of one million working towards the global climate change within 30th November. Everyone who agrees to climate strike three points (1) Keep fossils in the ground, 2) 100% clean energy, 3) help climate victims shall show their hands. Then take a picture and upload it to facebook, twitter etc. with hashtag #climatestrike

Please join Climate Strike to make it up to one million by taking action in your communities.

I just added the petition: 'Stop DRIVING and walk for your health'.

It would mean a lot to me if you took a moment to add your name because, even the smallest nation like Bhutan can contribute towards the climate change. Bhutan is highly developing the country. Despite government being imposed high taxes on vehicles and fuel, the number of vehicles is increasing drastically every year. As per the annual info comm and transport statistical bulletin released by information and communication, the number of vehicles imported between July 2014 to 2015 is 8191, resulting in a total number of vehicles to 74,612 vehicles which is one vehicle for every 10 individuals. Besides, Bhutan is highly dependent on fuel.

Real change happens when everyday people like you and I come together and stand up for what we believe in.  Together we can reach heaps of people and help create change around this important issue.
