I SEE A NEW NIGERIA |
---|
Nigeria, A nation with lots of pretenders as leaders, Saying one thing and doing another We?re blessed with countless resources my brother, But where are we today, I wonder
At 54, Nigeria is one very big tree But how fruitful has she been under the guide of the big three? With each arm of government run like a jamboree How did we get here? I ponder
How? Tribalism, Religious differences, Lack of integrity, Selfishness, nepotism and zero accountability Conflict, Corruption, abuse of power, gross impunity, Forces threatening to tear Nigeria asunder
However black today may seem, However bleak tomorrow may look The bond that holds us together, Is stronger than forces threatening to tear us apart
And rising among the young generation today We have beacons of hope & bastions of change Minds that?ll inspire real change & lead to heal the nation
Which is why: I see a nation where there are no pot holes. Yes. I see a nation where PHCN leaves power on permanently. Yes. I see a nation where ASUU is never on strike & youths are meaningfully engaged. Yes I see a nation where opportunities are democratized and not personalized. Yes I see a nation without Boko Haram, Kidnappings but pure peace all around. Yes I see a nation where politicians don?t focus on elections but dividends of democracy. Yes I see a nation where everything works as it ought to. Yes. I see a nation where foreigners rush to get our visa. Yes I see a nation forging a new face for Africa and her numerous nations. Yes
I SEE A NEW NIGERIA I see a nation united in purpose I see a nation led with vision and not by the morose I see a nation of vibrant intellectuals not comatose I see a nation of citizens able and responsible not trying to dose I see a nation flowing with land, milk and honey we can ?use to pose? I see a nation in tune with the dreams of her founding fathers who arose
I SEE THE GIANT OF AFRICA. I SEE A NEW NIGERIA ARISE FROM YOUR SLUMBER. ARISE NIGERIA. |
