25th april,11:56 am, Nepal got its face changed..a major earthquake devasted our Nepal.the shaking and the several aftershocks demolished the shelters of people, wrecked the world heritage into rubble, triggered avalanches causing the whole village to be flattened and killed thousands of life.it was preprediction that Nepal was vulnerable to the massive disaster because of the unmanaged urbanization.and finally it happened putting Nepalese life on roller coaster resulting in scared national psyche.
During the first shake at 11:56 am I was in farm power class.we all ran outside.initially,I enjoyed the shaking of the earth but later when I heared about the dharahara been demolished and the abject Kathmandu,my fear and concern soared.i got numb.although I was in safe zone, but those continuous tremors, inaccessible network and the pics all over twitter depicting abject Kathmandu shattered by heart.from 26th april,Nepal telecome provided free nd accessible network and we were able to contact our kin and kiths.
The condition of Kathmandu, gorkha, nuwakot, sindupalchowk, kavre etc was too miserable that rarely some0ne could stop their tears.different families had their blood line wiped out.then I decided to go for help.but,WHERE TO GO?HOW TO GO? These questions kept bewildering me for a day.as per the philosophy,?where there is will there is a way?, I found out the way.i discussed with vie institute?s director mr.nilam adhikari and decided to go to gorkha as the capital city could get the relief logistics easily rather than those people of hinterlands.i shared my plan secretly only with my dad as my mum wouldn?t let me to go there.thereafter,we collected the relief logistics(tent, mat, water, beaten rice, nodles, oral rehydration salts, metronidazol, cetamols, betardins, cottons, painkillers, sanitary pads, etc) sufficient for about 20 houses in a day.we didn?t want to be late so we decided to move to gorkha along with those materials on the very day.we knew those logistics weren?t a huge amount but could be blessings for those stranded 20 villagers who were compelled to muster up under a single tent and were not able to wet their mouth.
We headed toward gorkha on the very day ie,28th april,7 pm.we reached gorkha bazaar at 2am.we stayed at local leader?s house who were to join us the next day.we felt the aftershock again when we just steeped inside the house.all of the villagers were sleeping under the tent.on 29th april, according to the description and the guidance provided by the local leaders ,we headed to pidani chautari .the road was really thrilling.we could rarely see the undestroyed houses.those stranded villagers when saw us (we were the first to reach there) started sharing their grief and hope.the apathy of politicians has soared up their angers..they were promising to give no votes to those politicians from the next time.
The condition of gorkha was pathetic.there were not a single house or toilets remained undestroyed.the smell of dead animals was spreading around making difficulty in breathing.the consequences would be the spread of communicable diseases.we awarned them about the consequences and provided some preventive measures.we made a list of people over there and started distributing those logistics.i cant forget how the colour of their face changed after getting those logistics.i could feel the blessings from their bottom of heart.we hugged each other and made our arrangement to return back.on the whole way, their light smile and those blessings kept cuddling me and the feeling of euphoria kept inciting me to serve the nation..YES,WE ARE GONNA REBUILD NEPAL SOON. JAYA NEPAL J
