we all are well aware about the degradation of our earth and the threats it brings.however we r unable to take a step towards its protection..many of us think that only our initation wont bring any change.how cud we people forgt that large drops make ocean..keeping in mind the same philosopy,we organized a plantation programme on the occasion of 45th earth day.though it doesnot need a special day to show our dedication and perform our duty ,we chose the very day to gain more attention of the people,thus,making the programme more effective. The programme was no grand consisting of 2 days programme divided into two phase.1st phase on 21st april evening included cleanliness of the park where plantation would be done.then on the next day ,i.e 22nd april,we planted three trees on the previously cleaned park followed by candle lightining ceremony to honour our mother earth.the main theme of candle lighting was to show our dedication towards fulfiling the promise we made t that time to rectify the small mistakes we have been ignoring till this day.we also recycled the wasted paper fromm the hostels and crafted a beautiful paper earth to take a step towards our promise.some of the promises we made, I PROMISE TO SAVE WATER IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAYS I PROMISE TO FOLLOW 3R'S I PROMISE TO THROW WRAPPERS IN THE DUSTBINS I PROMISE TO SWITCH OFF THE ELECTRIC PLUGS EVERY TIME I GO OUT. I PROMISE TO JOIN THE RACE TO MAKE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. I WILL NOT LEAVE THE FAUCET OPEN WHILE BRUSHING TEETH TO SAVE THE WATER I PROMISE TO PROTECT THE PLANTED TREES TO GIVE LIFE TO OUR PROMISE. Being aware of the problem doesnt mean it is self solved .however it also doesnt mean that we should do something big..our small initation brings a dramatic change.in this way,the programme went well with all our might.yeah, 'ITS OUR TIME TO LEAD'.
