Clean Up Sharjah Campaign's 2nd event took place at Al Nahda and Al Tawoon on 9th January,2015 titled ?Pick And Walk?. Around 80 volunteers took part in that event and a large amount of waste had been collected. Barakat Juices were once again there to refresh the volunteers after their hard work. It was a pleasant morning and all the volunteers were extremely happy to be a part of the event and do their bit for the environment.

I also participated in this initiative. One thing that I noticed that there was not much to pick up. The side walks were relatively cleaner. I remember & admire the words of Ms. Habiba Al Marashi - Chairperson of EEG that People are getting more responsible. They do not litter much as was in the past. It means the Cleanliness drives are successful. The government spends lots of money in cleaning. If they save this amount that can be easily spent on Education, Healthcare etc.
I Love my Sharjah.

Great pictures! The number of polybags of waste collected shows the spirit of environmentalism in the volunteers. Pick and walk is an excellent concept! Thanks for sharing:)
