Organic Agri-Farming Training

Leo Club of Bharatpur jointly with Krishak Yekata Mul Samiti Gardi conducted a day Organic Agri-Farming Training to the emerging farmers of Madi. As there were 25 farmers group, 2 farmer from each group was invited and program was conducted between a total of 50 leading farmers of Madi. They were taught about hot to make organic fertilizer – Jholmol along with other organic farming farming practices. They were taught to make jholmol practically during the training. The resource person for the program were Dr. Matrika Jamarkattel, Lecturer, Rampur Campus and Mr. Kedar Devkota, Teacher, Nepal Polytechnic Institute and Leo Dreesti Wasti, student, Nepal Polytechnic Institute. This activity will help the farmer reduce the use of chemical pesticide which will definitely help to reduce the negative effects of chemicals in soil health. Thus, Organic Agriculture farming will help to promote both plant health and soil health and will provide humans with safe agriculture products.

    Teaching the farmers about Organic fertilizer making is a good deed. Well reported Bikal.
    I hope farmers will effectively use it & gradually reduce the use of harmful pesticides.
