International Standard for Environment

As an engineering student, whenever i try to design a system or just to do a research based paper, i always encounter regulations, standards, rules and class. I don't know the age range of members of this Tunza Eco Generation, but i assume that you are a youth with the age below 18, or maybe still in high school or even junior high school.

In case you don't know, i want to share about a well known standard which has regulations or rules regarding environment issue.

The international Standard of environmental management is ISO(International Standard Organisation) 14000. The ISO 14000 family addresses various aspects of environmental management. It provides practical tools for companies and organizations looking to identify and control their environmental impact and constantly improve their environmental performance. ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 14004:2004 focus on environmental management systems. The other standards in the family focus on specific environmental aspects such as life cycle analysis, communication and auditing.

to be more clear, you can see the image below:

Remarks: An environmental standard is a policy guideline that regulates the effect of human activity upon the environment.(source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_standard)

Thank you.
