Warm greetings from Russia! Today, I'd like to speak about....Japan.

After a severe accident at the Fukushima-1" of Japan had to abandon the construction of new nuclear power stations.

In order to solve the problem of replacement power after the accident at the nuclear power, government began to develop alternative energy.

In the end, the authorities hope to complete by the middle of the next year the world's largest wind power plant, and by 2020 to expand its capacity.

Offshore wind farm should appear by 2020, 16 km from Fukushima. Capacity of this plant will be required to replace those that gave NPP brought down by the earthquake and tsunami in 2011.

It is expected that the wind power plant will generate about 1 gigawatt of electricity. Since March 2011 in Japan were closed 52 out of 54 nuclear power plants. But Japan is going to become completely energy independent in 2040, mostly thanks to renewable energy.

Today the world's most powerful wind station is 504-megawatt plant near the British Suffolk, which consists of 140 turbines.
