What would you do if you found out that all of the trees in your state were scheduled to be cut down?

Once walking on the street a reporter stopped and wanted to ask few questions. I usually refuse to answer to the national television or radio stations mainly because I do not intend to involve into any political party, which is usually the topic in my country. The reporter approached me, I pretended as if I am in a hurry. He asked: "What would you do if you found out that all of the trees in your country were scheduled to be cut down?" I was shocked by the question, as my initial thoughts pictured the reality. I inhaled and exhaled. I said, "See, I am able to inhale and exhale. If all the trees would be cut down in my country I won't be able to do this anymore." I know I could have come up with a better answer, but at that time, knowing my Government and the corrupted country as Kosovo is, I thought this is happening for real and the only answer that came to my mind was the above mentioned one. I would like to read your opinions. What would be your answer in this regards? I would really appreciate your insights and hopefully you could enrich me more by brining your perspective.

You might just as well throw us in the desert where there are no trees and not too much oxygen. Cutting down the trees will hugely reduce the oxygen available in the country. Some people may adapt to the sudden decrease of oxygen and some may not. Life will be harder and it is not worth it. Trees are the creators of our main source of life "oxygen". In the necessities of life, oxygen comes first before food and water.

It was a perfect answer. I could not imagine if all trees in my country is cut down. You know, trees is a 'breath' of earth. How could we breath fresh air without tress?
