Quantity or quality?

by | 13-11-2014 05:35 recommendations 0

In this report, I want to make an introduction about one discussion I will begin with all of Tunza Eco-Generation members, with all of you.

This is the beginning of a discussion with all members, not an informative report.

What is more important: quality or quantity?

In terms of quantity, do you prefer that, in order to combat climate change, we plant more tres, we protect natural reserves, we do activities and create workshops to struggle for it?

Or do you prefer quality? Do you prefer international agreements among States, international organizations, research centers and civil society? Do you consider that reduction of gas emissions by many countries is important? Is that reduction enough?

Or do you consider that quality and quantity have got the same importance and they are interrelated? I advocate for this option.

All of these questions are what I want to propose in this text. I will thank you for your comments below, because this discussion will be interesting and really full of ideas.

We must not allow climatic destruction

This is such a good perspective Raquel! Both quantity and quality are very important in getting such good output. We need numbers and numbers of projects, members and developers who will participate i solving the climate change but then, this will not be efficient without its quality. How can a project work without research? How can a policy be effective without consultation and proper decision making? How can programs be useful without proper basis of experimentation and sharing of ideas? Nice point Raquel! Thank you!
