That aggressive climate action should be taken is nearly universally accepted. Mobilizing action, however, particularly in the community level, is often challenging.
I was student council president of my high school for two years, and I have found organizing environmental protection and awareness activities to be fun, but full of challenges.
For those who seek to organize activities themselves, here are some tips on overcoming challenges to organizing for action:
1. Connect with local leaders, make your case clear.
2. Develop a clear vision for your activity/project, and try to talk to all relevant sectors. Also, make it clear how they can help you.
3. Always brainstorm for possible actions to challenges. Try to project possible threats and opportunities.
4. When one approach does not work, retreat a little, and try new approaches.
5. Work within a time frame and within parameters
6. Never forget to enjoy what you are doing.
Until next time,
Christian

Yes, I really agree. Especially with point 6. We should enjoy what we do. When we love what we do, no matter how hard is it, it will be easy to do. :)

Good job Christian! :) This is a very familiar scenario that all other Eco Vanguards can relate from. Indeed, organizing events that would stimulate the interest of the community is very challenging but once that event is launched as is successfully shared to the people we know that all the challenges faced are worth it.

The first point is one of the most important actions, because we have to think globally, but act locally!
