International Coastal Clean Up Day at Perupalem Beach-20th september-2014

The Association for Environment Conservation Advocacy & Solutions  organized International Coastal Clean Up Day on 20th September-2014 at a famous resort place  Perupalem Beach in Andhrapradesh, India on Behalf of  Clean up the World Activity Australia.

The event was first started on Collecting the wastes by Mandal M.R.O  and the chairman of AECAS -ARTHUR VEDANAYAKAM,  where 800 no of people from local school -st. Dominics school management staff and students took part in it followed by local panchayat ,revenue staff  and  this  was continued picking up the plastics  about 2 Km on the shore , on watching the event a no of  vistors of the beach joined our team, and we collectively  took  part in every  action carried  there . we collected the large amounts of plastic wastes such as disposable glasses,cups,spoons, plates ,glass bottles,shoes,slippers  from the shore and placed them in  bags and we just took that waste to recycling  plant which is at a distance of 22 kms for recycling.

Many eminent people Like Bro.Medidi Johnson  Bible Society President for Andhra Pradesh & Telangana states, Pediatrician Dr.Vegi Raju radha Krishna Raju  took part in the event and they collected large amounts of wastes along with the AECAS team, AECAS also arranged a valediction event at the st.Dominic's school to appreciate the participants good work all the guests are felicitated with a certificate , memento and a jute file folder while the teachers and participants are gifted with certificates and Jute file folders  and the students with Jute bags. All this jute bags are sponsored by New Bhaskara Electronics -Bhimavaram ( SALES:Solar Products, Inverters,Batteries)by the proprietor T.Bhaskarrao and they are made at EcoVision Jute Bags Industry -kalipatnam and they were presented by Local Police Inspector Sri.K.Sudhakar Reddy.

everyone who came there appreciated our good work they all joined us in making a pledge that they will not use plastic and also they wont throw them at sea shores.


Later AECAS team gave a representation to Respective Revenue Divisional Divisional Officer D.Puspha Mani to make strict rules against throwing plastic wastes and usage of plastics at the beach.

News Channels like Gemini TV and Sakshi covered the event.

Mr.Vinay sabbithi ,secretary & founder AECAS , stated that we are proud  to be the member of clean up the world ,activity, Australia.

    Thanks for sharing vivid details of this Clean up event , Vinay. Such events always teach us to be mindful of our litter habits. If all of us do not throw litter openly then we wont need to spend time on such clean ups , that time can be constructively used in other missions. Pictures show -lot of litter was cleaned off. Good job.
