With the monsoon in full swing, the curry has lost its flavour as prices of vegetables have skyrocketed in the last couple of days again in the city upsetting many household budgets.
Onion, a basic vegetable used in almost all the dishes and the cheepest of all is now for Rs.80($1.298). Middle class and lower class families are now finding hard to eat 2 square meals a day.
This is simply due to the reason that farmers cannot afford the water used for irrigation as the prices of water increased by several folds in India. Due to the increase in the prices of water, the production has decreased and thus the prices increased................
So it my sincere request to all that please use water judiciously and promote others too so that this type of problem does not arise inyour nation.
