Nepal is a developing country relying mostly on agriculture. Though more than 75% of the people are engaged in agriculture, Nepal can hardly manage food for all its people, in other words, food insecurity is seen like a web in Nepal. Recent data shows more than 33 districts of Nepal are food insecure and this trend is not decreasing even by an inch. In this situation, the trend of organic agriculture has been seen and heard. As organic agriculture simply means no use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the production through it is less as compared to the agriculture practiced through the use of chemicals. So, if Nepal produces even less where situation is still in miserable condition, there is no question of food security. However, on the other hand organic agriculture ensures good health, environment and sustainability. Please comment, is organic agriculture a good option for Nepal as developing countries like Nepal?

A dilemma indeed, but i would say organic agriculture is necessary in terms of health or also in keeping pace with the international market.
