The best way to save trees is to cut down on paper usage as though paper can be made from variety of other materials like cotton , hemp and even elephant dung but unfortunately in most parts of the world it is made by sacrificing the trees only. Pulp and paper production industry is the largest consumer of energy , water and forest resources and also the 3rd largest producer of air & water pollutants & green house gases (responsible for climatic changes). About 1/5th of the contents of dustbins is paper / newspapers /mags which can be recycled . Why print any email or document if it is not needed. We all can adopt some easy ways in our day to day life to reduce paper usage or recycle papers to minimise cutting of trees. I do my bit –Do you ??
