I participated in the Earth Day by joining the annual bee'ah walkathon which was held ceremoniously at the al qasba Sharjah. Amongst all present there there was an array of white as every body rushed to walk from the al qasba to the al majaz completing the entire stretch of the 4 km walk. On this occasion of earth day, I feel very proud that I w a part of such a walk where we work towards saving our Mother Earth.

We started with great enthusiasm and walked energetically. A the end of the walk we were dead tired but we geared up and the energy seemed to return to us as we went to the photo booth to get our photos clicked! There were amazing accessories which we had to put on and get a funky photo for ourselves. There were printing the photos on the spot which made it like icing on the cake.

The atmosphere was livened as the people filled the majaz park with their chatter. There were bouncy castles,  stalls, recycling bins which were very special and had the slogan on them: reuse, reduce, recycle, redeem. Apart from that there we many activities for children which made it worthwhile.

We are living on this planet as if we have another one to go to. Keeping this caption in mind, we all should try to save our Mother Earth and keep it as clean and green as possible. That's why I think that initiatives such as the be'eah walkathon truly helpful in contributing to the sustainability of our Mother Earth .
