The 2012 World Future Energy Summit was held in Abu Dhabi from 16th to 19th January. It is the world?s foremost annual meeting committed to advancing future energy , energy efficiency and clean technologies by engaging political , business , finance, academic and industry leaders to drive innovation , business and investment opportunities in response to the growing need for sustainable energy.

I was the only child delegate  and therefore the youngest attendee at this world summit where I represented my school .

It was an experience of a lifetime to meet and listen to the green vision of the world leaders who attended and spoke at this summit . Some of the legendary leaders who attended and I had the privilege of listening to were :

1.      Mr Ban Ki Moon –Secretary General of the United Nations

2.      Mr Wen Jiabao – Prime Minister of China

3.      Mr Kim Hwang Sik – Prime Minister Republic of Korea

4.      Mr. Nassir Abdualaziz Al Nasser – President of the UN General Assembly

5.      Mr R.K. Pachauri – Nobel Prize winner environmentalist

Several technological innovations on green energy and sustainable practices were presented at this summit by leading corporations such as Siemens , Toyota , Exxon Mobil to name a few . It was a huge learning experience for me and I came back and shared this knowledge with my peers and class mates . As an eco-ambassador of my school and country it is my duty to spread the green message and attending these global summits gives me , as the TUNZA children and youth representative of UAE ,  to present our perspective to the global community.
