Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Carnivora
Family: Ursidae
Genus: Ursus
Species: U.actros
Subspecies: U. a. syriacus
Ursus actros syriacus is animal that eats almost everything, he is fed on meat, herbs and fruits, insects, etc., and is the smallest brown bear at all that has a height at the shoulder of 140 cm long and ranges in color from yellowish to brownish.
Sources in  Wild Animal Protection Project in Syria explained that the bear entered the extinction phase, and decreased in numbers due to environmental degradation to his whereabouts, in addition to over fishing.
Generally found in the mountainous areas throughout its home range, the Syrian brown bears seem to den and hibernate in caves and tree hollows of the birch forests, which are found at higher elevations than pine and other trees. Outside of hibernation these bears tend to forage for food in grasslands, meadows, forests and have been known to enter mountain villages to feed on grains and nuts
