The Dead Sea ,, also called the Salt Sea, is a salt laked bordsering Jordan to the east . Its surface and shores are 427 meters (1,401 ft) below sea level, Earth's lowest elevation on land. The Dead Sea is 306 m (1,004 ft) deep, the deepest lake in the world. The Amazing Deadsea

Well ,, why is it called "The Dead Sea" ?? Because it is to salt that this salinity makes for a harsh environment in which animals cannot survive . It has many industrial uses concerning salt producing and also for medical issues as a result of it containing rich minerals and vitamins .

But that is not the problem ,, the problem is that since 50 years , the amazing dead sea's water level is decreasing ! Which will make it disappear in a matter of 40 - 60 years !!

Look at the change of water level within years .

This big change is a result of high evaporation levels ,, My country Jordan is working on fixing this disaster by transporting water from the Red sea South Jordan ,

Is high evaporation levels the sole factor of the shrinking Dead Sea, or are there other reasons?
