Various daily activities of human directly and indirectly responsible for the environmental hazards. Faulty method of Farming is one of them. As the population of human increases the use of resources also increases. Resources are of two types .man made resources and natural resources .the excessive and unmanaged use of resources result in to poor environment. Population gets increasing day by day but we can?t extant land as we can?t extent resources.

Let?s take small example .If we use pesticides in our field to control pests. The traces of the chemical is carried by running water to the pond and river resulting eutrophication. It is the condition in which the aquatic habitat will loss. Similarly another example is air pollution. Because of the excessive use of chemical the air around us become unsuitable for breathing. So the farming practice has lot of things to do with environment.

Also farming is the component of ecosystem. The well managed farming method contribute lot of things to nature. While taking about ecosystem and nature we can?t neglect agriculture.

By simply modifying the farming technique, we can contribute lot of things to environment. In Nepal traditionally the farming practice is eco loving. Now days most of the farmers are dependent in chemical pesticides which is produced in other country. Not only the soil is polluting but also the economic status of whole county is decrease. Farming is becoming subsistence type.

Some of the initiative farmers has introduced technique to preserve the ecological condition and sustain biodiversity .Growing Agroforestry species, crop rotation, use of organic pesticides in the field are examples. Besides this soil preservation through mulching, cover crop and wind/water breaks are popular in hilly areas.

Our farming system is based in integrated type. Now days farmers are becoming aware about the environment. They realize the effect of pesticides in field. They know that they can contribute several things to environment. If we link farming system with environment then ecological management and biodiversity conservation will be helpful.
