HELLO everybody,i have always loved to be bg in this page.but because of my finals,i was unable to stay updated since few weeks..and now when the xams are overs m back at tunza with increased enthusiasm, reading all the post whice i  missed because of my exam.and also want to share our(me and my friends)small effort towards green environment.
everytime we conduct programmes at college pheriphery or outside,we need guest personalities..and they are  welcomed by scarfs and paper made or plastic made badges..these badges are used for programme time only and then after thrown in the corner..thes nondegradable products hamper the environment.. so,we as an student of agriculture thought of using some alternative to these nondegradable badges..and finally we decided to use leaf to welcome them which can be reused as mulch.since then we use leaf of PEEPAl(Ficus religiosa) as badge in all the programmes.we use tipex to indicate the guest position in peepal.and the pin the leaf on the shirt of the guests. :) since the idea is applied, every guest who attend our programms appreciate the idea :)
initially used badge initially used badge guests with badge programme cordinater with peepal's badge leaves zotted with different guest position written programme conducter on the leaf name of the organizer club in the leaf of peepal

yes friends..its environment friendly...now we r further thinking of using plates of the saal (Shorea robusta) instead of plastic plates..it in one hand preserves our nepali tradition and on other hand is eco friendly too :)

My dear Sandhya, welcome back :)
This is really a wonderful idea to welcome guests with peepal tree leaf instead of other badges which would have a short life and turn into waste in no time.
    Keep on posting dear :)
