Stop Littering in Beach!

On February 3rd 2015, IGAF in partnership with UNESCO Sandwatch Foundation, YUNGA UNFAO and SD N 2 Jambu initiated a modest program entitled "Stop Littering in Beach!".
The program was intended to purge and clean-up Blebak Beach from litters/wastes/garbage. Previous problem was: many individuals are not responsible to manage Blebak Beach cleanliness and sustainable. In other hand, visitors of the Beach are not essentially ascertain the potential of Blebak Beach for eco-tourism.

The project was executed with engaging students of SD N 2 Jambu in guidance of IGAF standing boards. The agenda did was purging, separating, throwing wastes alongside coastal line of Blebak Beach. In addition, students were propelled to implement and embed the agenda in their minds. The project was valuated a success due to the enthusiasm of both students and mentors in advancing the awareness to stay concerning the cleanliness of the Beach. In other hand, local communities were / have been advanced by our activities done to the Beach to embody eco-tourism for sustainable beach management.

There were more than 80 students under auspices of five mentors of IGAF Standing Boards comprising Angga Dwi Indriyanto, Amallia Puji Nabila, Oktavia Ayu Riwayanti and Achmad Solikhin and the teachers of the college. iIf you are interested to join, don't hesitate to ask us:

    Bio degradable waste from the beach can be composted in an anerobic digester and be used to provide biogas for cookin and electricty at the Student's school. Its a great Initiative.

    This is wonderful, cleaning the Blebak Beach and inculcating the concept of Ecotourism among locals and visitors is impactful. I appreciate the campaign "Stop Littering in beach".
    Would love to hear more such campaigns in the days to come.
