Environmental awareness session

Recently,I organized an environmental awareness session wherein I went to a government school in my village and created awareness about the need to protect the environment.
I interacted with the students of grade 6 to 8.I statrted with telling them about what is environment and how it affects us.Then I told them that we are crossing a population of 7 billion. As our population increases, our needs also increase which burden our planet. So,there is an urgent need to protect the Earth and its resources.I also explained to them about climate change and what harmful consequences it can have.
After that,I gave some simple tips to them on how they can conserve water, electricity, etc. and avoid food wastage. We also took that we will protect MOTHER NATURE.
I told them about Tunza Eco Generation.I said that it is an environment networking platform for children and youth.I also encouraged them to join Tunza Eco Generation and play an active role in protection of environment.
They were very delighted to hear the session.Today's children are tomorrow's future. So the need to create awareness about environmental protection among them becomes all the more important.
On August 24 , I will be going there again to plant saplings along with the students.I also encouraged them to speak something on environment or prepare posters and share their views with me on the 24th.
