One of the most unique character youths have more, relative to other demographic segments, is spirit of innovation. Using creativity and less-doubt mindset in conducting initiatives, youths possess a different potential in getting things done and realizing positive impacts. Being a relatively neutral type of stakeholder, a small group of influential youths (alias young leaders) may exercise integration in issue resolution amongst other stakeholders (business, academics, government, and civil societies).

During the process, the flexibility trait youths have could lead to better cultural engagement with local people in the traditional industry so they can comprehend the real local industry challenges and work with them closer. Those young people with adequate education and experience could bring these knowledge and try to adapt it to grass-root contexts in order for them to be more open-minded and willing to challenge the existing status quo. The simplest activity to do would be voluntary work by practicing effective 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and waste cleanup to prevent groundwater contamination from toxic nutrients. In the future, young researchers could also play a role in reusing treated wastewater for drinking to be cost-efficient.

Moreover, youths can harness its netizen power to magnify the collective, communal effort thus scaling measurable results. Last but not least, young leaders who should also think globally, gaining inputs, examples, and support from overseas connections and bring it back to local impacts.
