"Probably our voice was small but we were raising it because we are sure it was louder than our silence." Our programmes were small but the message we were trying to disseminate was the largest on at the present time.
People say what we have today in our earth are the assets we burrowed from our ancestors to pass them to the descendants in the same quality and quantity, and the pattern is continuous from the eras. Then one thing that always put me and every conscious human in dilemma is, what will we give to our future generations if we leave nothing? if we consume all the resources so voraciously that our mother earth is providing which is clearly not only for us but for upcoming generations as well? So isn't a time has come for all of us to take oath to restore the pattern again??
So with a holy intention of stimulating Nepalese people, youths and children towards a green, healthy and sustainable environment a 11 members team of mine conducted various awareness raising activities in a participatory ways. We conducted an Art workshop & competition, a movie screening and a Climate March under various themes regarding climate change,COP21 and other environmental issues, in Rupandehi district of Nepal. Hope our effort has enlightened a consciousness among the citizens of Rupandehi regarding the present environmental scenario, climate change etc. and their role to cope the environmental issues. Not only this, our effort has cleared the delegates of COP21 representing Nepal about the issues to be put forward in Paris.
