Sustainable Hotel in U.A.E.

I am writing this article to inform my fellow readers about the Ramada hotel in U.A.E. The hotel is committed to environmental sustainability and is trying its best to minimise negative impacts to Mother Nature. It also promotes environmental friendly culture with their internal associates during the hotel operation. The hotel has been working on it?s green initiatives from the past 4-5 years.

I visited the hotel a few weeks back and I was amazed by the various environmental incentives they have taken. The hotel has a compost, recycling centre and an urban farm too. I was glad to know that the compost machine was imported from South Korea. The hotel also has excellent waste management. When I went into the compost I noticed a lot of things I had never seen earlier. The staff explained how leftover food for instance, rice, lentils, bones, etc, were converted into fertilisers and were used for the plants in the urban farm. They also had a method to convert oil from food waste to petrol.

Apart from these creative ideas they also had an urban farm where the vegetables are grown in an organic method.

These plants are used in cooking food in the hotel, for instance, aubergine, rocket leaves, tomato, etc.

By the end of the day I learnt how leftover food is converted into fertiliser and how wasted oil is converted into petrol. I also learnt some great ideas to conserve the environment.

This hotel is very impressive and unique. It has highly encompassed environment friendly and sustainable living. I really hope more of such hotels are made in the future.
