To address the effect of climate change and its consequences Green Youth Generation, Paklihawa Campus in collaboration with Youth for Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture (YCSA) organized Free Drawing competition cum Poster and Video presentation with a theme Mother Earth and Climate Change on the auspicious occasion of The Earth Day-2013 in the college premises.
The program was focused to demonstrate the effect of climate change and its consequences'. With the participation of 65 participants the program was run for almost 3 hours. There was slide presentation, video and oral speeches from the side of students for the students and to the students raising awareness and motivation to the conservation of the earth in sustainable ways.
Likewise, there were 16 participants for free drawing competition and all have drawn a sketch relating to conservation of the earth and its preservation limiting within the theme Mother Earth and Climate Change. Out of 16 participants 1st, 2nd and 3rd drawing will be selected best among the best from the judgment of our respected drawing teacher Mr. Sailesh Gurung and the winners will be awarded with attractive prizes and certificates. The judgment process is undergoing.
We were able to develop feelings on our participants for conserving mother earth that made few of the participants to recite poem of their own relating to conservation sowing esteem to mother earth.
We have asked our participants to give us any slogan and citation relating to earth conservation and printed that in the paper. We then move around the college premises sticking those printed paper of slogans and citations in walls and trees there by.
Finally, we there after gathered completing the sticking of posters and made three promises a promise to respect the mother earth not less than our own mother a promise to keep tap water off when not in use a promise to have lights and other electric appliances off when not in use or when we are moving out of the room. These are only few promises we had promised, we will left no stone unturned for conservation and sustainability of our THE EARTH.
I would like to thank Youth for Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture (YCSA) for co-operating with us, all the participants for their sincere participation and my volunteering team for their untiring support.
