World Oceans Day is an opportunity every year to honour the world's oceans, celebrate the products the ocean provides such as seafood as well as marine life itself for aquariums, pets, and also a time to appreciate its own intrinsic value. The World Oceans Day 2013 & 2014 theme is: Together we have the power to protect the ocean. There are many ways to celebrate this day. For World Oceans Day 2013, the organizers are also asking people around the world to make a promise for the oceans. People can promise to change one thing in their lives that will help protect the ocean, and then upload a photo of them with their promise to social media- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, or Pinterest, making sure to mention #WorldOceansDay. http://www.facebook.com/WorldOceansDay?fref=ts What does the BIGGEST fish in the world - the whale shark - have in common with the tiny - 17 cm - spiny seahorse? They're both creatures you'll meet when you go on ARKive's World Oceans Day Scavenger hunt! Yes , I made a promise , filled this card and posted , also shared the message. Lets help to keep oceans healthy , after all they are our lifeline carrying 97% of planet's water. Thanks , Humaid for highlighting this.
