20th of June was the death anniversary of a famous Indian ornithologist-naturalist, DR, SALIM ALI. He was called the birdman of India. Orphaned at a very young age, one day in his uncle's house, he observed a sparrow with yellowish shade on throat. Curios to know the reason, his uncle took him to WS Millard, the honorary secretary of the Bombay Natural History society. He took him to see many stuffed birds. For showing his love for the birds of his country by saving Bharatpur bird sanctuary, he was honored with Padma Vibhusan in 1983. He died at the age of 90, on 20th June 1987.
Environmentalists, please leave everything and spend a minute for his soul to rest in peace.
