Radioactive Waste- Dumped in the sea

by Aaditya Singh | 25-06-2013 22:25 recommendations 0

These days we rely so much on internet, Google and Wikipedia for information. I have myself posted about many environment related websites and information that I find interesting and informative. But sometimes it is confusing whether or not to trust everything that we read on the web. I chanced upon this really worrying documentary about dumping of radioactive waste in the sea and immediately wanted to share it with you. But then I also found out some information that claimed that the documentary was based on false information. So I am sharing links to both of these for some discussion and advise from all of you. Of course we need to use our own judgment and intelligence while sharing information, sources of which we are not sure about. But sometimes it is very difficult to assess.

Radioactive waste: Dumped and Forgotten. Watch The Film Here: http://youtu.be/oX_lzoYl9AU
It discusses the effects of sea dumping of radioactive waste on the health of people living on the local coasts, like the Irish Sea and the Baltic Sea, which is the most radioactive sea in the world. The documentary focuses on the dumping of radioactive waste in the English Channel.

Thank you for the input. It is really easy to manipulate information which has significant economic value. So when we discuss these kinds of matters, we should think about who will be 'benefited' from this information.
