Earth hour 60+ is a worldwide campaign launched by WWF. Its main aim is to aware people to reduce unnecessary energy wastage by turning off lights for an hour. Its obvious to turn off electric appliances if we aren't using it as it saves electric bills as well as save energy but people usually make the mistakes and forget it. Earth hour campaign teaches us to save energy to protect our earth from unnecessary energy wastage.
On the very day of 19th March, 2016, I too wanted to celebrate it with other campaigners but I couldn't manage to visit Kathmandu. I saw that many people are unaware about it and known people neglect it. In Nepal, power-cuts is major problem so earth hour means turning off lights completely for an hour is a little harder. But being nature's loyal creature, I turn off my laptop and lights of my house instead we lighted candles to celebrate earth hour from 8.30 to 9.30. I told my sisters and mother about it. They too agreed and we had candle light dinner on that night. It was satisfaction and exciting moment. It was my devotion to support earth hour.
