EARTH DAY CELEBRATION IN MY CITY

On April 22, Earth Day is celebrated annually on which ?day events? are held to make people aware of deterioration of the earth and demonstrate support for environmental protection. For the very cause, we, youth of chitwan representing different organization listed below celebrated Earth Day on the bank of Narayani River (Narayanghad) with the fusion of art, literature, music and dance. We started the program with the speech of  the event?s chief guest and then face painting, poem, gajal, songs related to nature and flash mob went accordingly. Face paintings  were done symbolizing earth and marking ?The Earth Day 2016?. A flash mob was performed by twelve energetic dancers presenting paintings and flash cards, making people know about the situation of our earth today and measures that can be employed from an individual level to make a sustainable earth then. The overwhelming mass in the program, their interest and involvement gave us more energy. Some of the audience presented their poem, songs as well. The celebration was enjoyable and impact oriented. The place where people didn?t even know about Earth Day, our program went fruitful making them aware of the day itself and sensitize about environmental degradation and encouraging them to get involved taking action from individual level for environment protection and sustainable development.
I along with Bindu Bhandari(The Regional Ambassador,Tunza Eco Generation) and the team successfully coordinated the program. Many organizations of Agriculture and Forestry University (Rampur) and the city were involved making their presence worth.
The two hours long program ended by 6 pm. The first ever Earth Day celebration of mine was very rejoicing and we made it worth.
