The ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they are ready for the trip. "What's this ability called?" I asked among the mass. I got different answer and I stopped with answer diplomacy from Kirtan, young eco-leader. Milan Tunza Eco Club (MTEC) experienced another brand new program, MUN Workshop which was led by Vice-President of Tunza Eco Network, Prakriti Dhakal along with other presenters Kabita, Asish, Asmita, Parbati. Initiative led by Tunza Ambassador- Sujan Adhikari, now students get to know about different aspects of environment facts, leadership, debating skills. MUN Workshop started with a presentation by me and I can clearly feel the enthusiasm, curiosity in them. While most of the program is focused on Kathmandu Valley, it was first ever such program in school level in Chitwan. Around 100 students from Class 7,8,9 and 10 participated in the program and get acquainted with MUN basics in the simpler way possible. We are with presentation on MUN so that students feel easier to cope with us and perceive what we are talking about. MUN requires high level of knowledge on the given agenda so, that anyone can debate with other with the facts he have. I went through the formation of United Nations along with League of Nations. Since, MUN focuses on UN organizational structures, its basic to learn about UN and its organizations. So, these can help them with every aspect while in debate. We discussed on rules and regulations of MUN along with its proceedings from Roll Call to Adjournment of the MUN. Although it's hard for such information to creep into the mind of teenagers, I am sure they are now aware about MUN, its rules, regulations, proceeding, points, motions and other terms. Also, we talked about diplomacy, negotiations along with some humorous jokes to crack in regarding diplomacy and global issues. Soon, we will organise MUN for them after completion of MUN workshops in other school where Eco-Club lies under Tunza Eco Generation and Chitwan Central Leo Club. True that. MUN's are wonderful platforms where ideas can be expressed and provides an early experience about world decision making.
We too had many MUNs on various global issues in our school debating society.
Thanks for sharing
