Chasiing a green Economy

by | 30-05-2016 18:03 recommendations 0

Africa should explore alternative economic paths to achieve industrialization, the  Economic Survey report on Africa 2016 reports.
In this regard, the continent needs to redesign its growth strategies by going green. Even in this light, nations need to balance on fully exploiting the environmental resources while still protecting natural resource assets from degradation.
Renewable sources of energy such as geothermal and solar energy have been singled out as one of the ways Africa can deal with its energy deficit and some nations have been saluted for their going green initiatives. Such are Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Morocco, Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Malawi, Mauritius and Ethopia.
