The significance of youth clubs

All the young minds at our place recently conceived an idea of a Youth club and brought that into action. The Youth of any country is the most dynamic group, ready to embrace new challenges and also available with instant solutions. We called our team 'Synergy' after the Greek word 'Synergos' meaning 'working together' and with unity, we began. Apart from knowing about the environmental problems that we face, Synergy has tremendously enabled us to form our own solutions. We've decided to abide by the green protocol in all our monthly meetings and other such programs. It has also boosted my confidence as well. Recently, I was able to inspire my college mates to clean our class and also to get rid of plastic. It has also gifted me an example to substantiate when writing an essay or giving a speech. I really feel that group activities can bring about a much greater impact.

What all can we do as a group?

  1. We can discuss environmental issues of national and international importance, collect reports and conduct awareness classes for the juniors. We can also set an example for them by actively taking part in locality cleaning programs, planting seeds and saplings, etc. and discuss it with them. This will help them to realize the importance of Environmental conservation at a very early age.
  1. We can discuss about present environmental problems. Everyone can present their views and perspectives on this topic and find suitable, practical solutions. We can really bring this in public domain by discussing this with the elders as well. This will really help in the formation of all-rounded and conscious individuals.

My native place, Kerala (a state in India) was currently affected by a very devastating flood. Thousands of people lost their homes and almost everything that belonged to them in the blink of an eye. The public, especially the youth joined hands to rescue them and also to support them, physically and emotionally. It was empathy and not sympathy that played its role here. Unity is Strength and if we decide to be in a dynamic team, we'll surely be able to transform this whole World.
