It's the increasing Trend of Tetra packaging, as people are getting more concerned about the quality of the packed beverages, snacks and food. They are now buying tetra packed juices that prevent them from spoilage and perishability but the fact is that these packages that we are using everyday can be easily recyclable and can actually be turned into unimaginable useful good.


One such initiative is taken by a company called Tetra Pak, this company all around the Asia and world encourages people to put tetrapackages after usage into the recyclable bin set up by the company all across the cities. In India, this company is actually making people to act on a desired manner.



They encourage people to flatten up packages after usage put them in the nearby recyclable bins. They also involve with the Rag pickers and garbage collectors and inform them that collecting these packages separately and educates them that these packages can give them better and incomes. They do a number of art forms practices and Street plays and dramas to inform the garbage pickers about it. There are some videos about this initiative available on the internet and YouTube also. These packages are used for making benches and desks kind of goods which are often placed on parks and even donated to those schools in which children sit down on the harsh and rough floors.


When businesses fulfill the social objective it actually encourages the whole society to come together and make a new and better environment. When a businessman looks forward, that when he makes profit from the society, he is a earning a living from the society that he is making use of the society and the use of its resources and that he has a role to play for the society, for the community he belongs to and this does not only confine to the service he provided or the swap he made but it's about something different like when a shopkeeper places a dustbin in front of his shop i.e., doing for society as a whole despite of for only its customers. And businesses can have their own unique ways for serving the society and fulfilling its social objective. Lets keep encouraging such businesses, lets keep up the good work. :)
