Go Green Conference

by Sainath Manikandan | 25-11-2018 17:31 recommendations 1

The Go Green Conference was about understanding Man's relationship and responsibility towards Nature as a pathway to realizing one's own divinity.

The two-day conference was held at Puttaparthi, India on July 25 - 27, 2018. It was a great source of spiritual enrichment and environmental awareness. The conference delegates and speakers enjoyed uplifting talks, and participated in workshops, networking and interacted with subject matter experts on the environment. An exhibition showcased the projects implemented by individuals, groups and young adults around the world.

I had the honor and privilege to be one among the 7 Green Hub speakers selected all over the world.

The Green Hub focused on solution-driven conversations and provided an opportunity for speakers to present well-formed ideas in under 15 minutes. The primary goal of the Green Hub was to communicate the topic clearly to the audience and conference delegates and also share tools and tips for implementation.

My experience as a Green Hub Speaker was fabulous. I focused on the key message that I was trying to get across –¡°Say no to single-use plastics¡±. I got an opportunity to showcase my innovation, Marine Robot Cleaner, to delegates from different countries such as Russia, Germany, US, UK, Latvia, Philippines, etc. My robot collects floating wastes from water surfaces. I had presented my ideas with the help of a PowerPoint presentation by including infographics and images. I concluded by requesting the audience to take a pledge to refuse single-use plastics. My main objective was to raise awareness about single-use plastic pollution and encourage individuals and organizations to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions through simple everyday choices. The audience felt positive and spurred to take the next steps in their own spheres to protect and heal the environment.

Serve the planet, Love the planet, Heal the planet!!!!
