2019 Theme: Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health

 

This year's International Day for Biological Diversity focuses on diversity as the foundation for our food and health and as key catalyst to transforming food systems and improving human well-being. Join the conversation, take action, and be a catalyst for change!

 

Below is a list of things that you can do to conserve and sustainably use biodiversity for your well-being:

 

·        Reduce your meat consumption.

·        Eat and purchase the seasonal foods.

·        Buy local foods.

·        Reduce your food waste

·        Compost your food scraps

·        Reduce food packaging by using reusable bags or reducing glass jars or containers.

·        Avoid single-use plastics like plastic straws, coffee cups, plastic cutlery, and take out containers or plastic water bottles.

·        Promote local and indigenous biodiversity for food and nutrition.

    Hello
    Thank you so much for awaring about our diet plans in this auspicious moment of Biodiversity day. Really having a healthy food has become most for this 21st century. Because as we move on , the risk of life taking by unhealthy foods has become more prominent rather than cigarettes, tobacco and alcohol. So when the thing we desire the most becomes the biggest enemy for our survival, we can imagine how much edge we are on of being destroyed by our unhealthy moves.
