What do the Sustainable Development Goals mean for Uzbekistan?

The government of Uzbekistan adopted the resolution "On measures to Implement the National Goals and Targets in the Field of Sustainable Development for the Period Until 2030" on 20th of October 2018.

SDGs stand for Sustainable Development Goals, covering 17 global and important areas to be reached by 2030. The government of Uzbekistan had conducted many events related to this issue and the main goal to be achieved is the implementation of SDG Mechanisms at the national level. Therefore, youth organizations try to launch new projects to promote SDGs. Model United Nations Conferences can be one of the quite good examples by giving an overview and understanding what Sustainable Development Goal is.

The National Mechanism envisages a certain number of goals to be achieved among youth, reducing youth unemployment, in particular. Therefore, in Uzbekistan among young people, entrepreneurship and Startups are popular and being developed.

In environment areas, by preventing, recycling, reducing and reducing methods we want to reduce waste generation. Reading about Sustainable Development Goals, it can be seen that SDGs consist of lots of goals related to environmental questions.

To sum up, I would like to mention that Sustainable Development means a lot to Uzbekistan and not only because the Earth is one and protecting is in our hands!
