International Youth Day 2019: Transforming Education

I really thank TunzaEcoGeneration for this opportunity to make a great change for this wonderful Planet and the privilege to engage with others to share the benefits of environmental protection. The earth really needs our help, the Amazon forest that provides the Earth¡¯s 20% oxygen is currently on fire.

Amazon on fire

We need to do something. Planting billions of trees across the world is by far the biggest and cheapest way to tackle the climate crisis. New quantitative evaluation shows forest restoration isn¡¯t just one of our climate change solutions, it is overwhelmingly the top one,¡±

Recently I carried out a sensitisation at Beach Secondary school Koko, Delta State, Nigeria, I enlightened the students about the benefits of environmental management and we embarked on a project of planting trees.

Sensitization in Beach Secondary School

We planted trees in a nursery using water sachets littered around the school for the planting. We intend on transplanting the trees to the area in the school that was previously covered with trees, which were cut down during construction.

The goal is to plant 200 trees and we took the first step of planting 50. It was an overwhelming experience and the students were happy.

I also introduced them to Tunza EcoGeneration and made them see the benefits of the platform. I encourage everybody in this platform to embark on this project it¡¯s inexpensive. We are all in this together. Tell somebody about the Earth, Save the Earth.
