Green use of old discarded bus tyres |

I have written 2 reports about the problem of vehicle tyres occupying large amounts of space in landfills. I want to share with you today, the efforts of my school, (Delhi Private School, Sharjah, UAE) in doing their share to improve the sad situation created because of discarded tyres. We have so many buses in our school to transport the students between school and homes. Obviously regular wear and tear & maintenance means that worn out tyres have to be discarded. But my school makes sure that these tyres are reused effectively. Let me show you how! Indeed I am fortunate to be growing up and studying in such a environment friendly atmosphere! |

Thanks Christy & Eco Gen. This is a landscaped area in the senior wing of my school. Some of my friends told me that it has been developed a lot more after these pictures were taken. I am in the primary school and donot go to the senior side often. I request some of my seniors in the Senior school who are also members of this forumto upload some pictures of how the area looks now.
