Lets avoid Plastic Bags |

I have started a new campaign of Reducing Plastic Use. Though ,I have kept the approach within myself till now, but I wish to share my experiences with you all Tunza members.
Since 2 Weeks, I have avoided taking plastic from shopkeepers, vendors. Instead of taking the goods in plastic bag, i opted to carry eco-friendly jute bag for carrying goods. Moreover, I suggested them to stop purchasing plastic bags by telling them about negative impacts of plastic and its role in creating pollution. Though Use of Plastic is banned in most of the cities in Nepal, but there is no implementation of the law. People freely carry the plastic bags. These plastics are mostly thrown in rivers, lakes, ponds which has adversely affected aquatic life. I literally had difficulties while carrying goods once as i forgot to carry the jute bag. But ,I somehow carried 3 dozens of banana in my hand and walked for 25 minutes. I know my single effort wont make big impact,but atleast i have played my part. If we all start avoiding plastic bags ,then surely ,it will create big impact in our environment. I urge every Tunza members to start this campaign and influence others to start this campaign. I remember the famous quote, "If you want to change the world, start by yourself." Lets create better and sustainable environment . |

It sounds good of yours new initiation.
I have also abandoned using plastic bags and urge others for not making use of plastic bags.
Drop and drop makes ocean so we must work hand in hand to bring revolution.
