Newzealand Approach to combat plastic pollution

Oceanian countrty New Zealand will ban single-use plastic bags over the next year, according to the official announcement of government .

Retailers in the country will be given six months time-frame  to stop providing lightweight plastic bags, or face fines of up to NZ$100,000 (£51,000).

Adren said that Single-use plastic bags are being phased out so that government can better look after our environment and safeguard New Zealand’s clean and  green reputation. New Zealand has become first country in the world to totally ban plastic bags .

The island country is very rich for natural resources and water resources .But recently, piles of plastic wastes are being gathered in marine bodies disturbing aquatic eco-system .
