On this weekdays, we hiked to Mardi Base Camp. We hiked from 1250 masl to 4700 masl. The thing which attracted me most during this visit was Doko Dustbin. Dokos are made from bamboo sticks and are totally eco-friendly. Not only these, only 7-8 hotels per camp were only allowed to run during this Annapurna circuit. There was heavy restriction on cutting trees along this trail and anyone found to have caught would be fined severly. This all initiatives were taken by ACAP( Annapurna Conservation Area Project). Such efforts by ACAP has contributed a lot to conserve our eco-system and biodiversity.
