Ancient city, Smallest district, Khowpa desh are some nicknames of this district. Although it has small area, it is renowned for the elegant arts, fabulous culture, colorful festivals, traditional dances and indigenous lifestyle of Newari community. This all identities of this city are included in the exhibition. Hence, the program includes cultural programs, exhibition of painting, straw art, traditional dresses and music instrument, Kumari, Newari lifestyle, Nawadurga demonstration and many more. Not only the traditional and cultural exhibitions, it includes educational exhibition, woman handicraft, agricultural products, trade fair, children friendly activities. Preserving culture and heritage, to promote lifestyle of city, local products to domestic and international tourism markets, are the main motto of the program. This is the best way to introduce the endangered tradition to new generation and youths. |
