Holi is a festival celebrated in the Indian subcontinent, also called the "festival of colors". It signifies the victory of good over evil minded, the arrival of spring season, end of winter season, and for many a festive day to meet others. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest and is celebrated mainly by Hindus.
It is an ancient religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia. In recent years the festival has spread to parts of Europe and North America.
Holi has negative impacts of animlas like dog. They lick them and that could harm them besides causing them skin allergies or infections. The colored powders might be much harmful for animals like Skin allergies and itchiness and colors may lead to Blindness. These colors can cause respiratory ailments and nasal irritation
We can do some acts to keep animals safe during the Holi celebrations spreading awareness in our community.
-Keep Holi sweets out of reach of animal
-Keep pet away from kids
-Use natural colours
-Look out for warning signs

Holi Festival have harmful effects on environment like noise pollution, air pollution and water pollution etc. All the dyes we use are chemically prepared and cause negative impacts on environment. Also, an alleged environmental issue related to the celebration of Holi is the traditional Holika bonfire, which is believed to contribute to deforestation.
Please use less water and use eco-friendly colors.
