We all have listen about corn but have you listen about baby corn?

Baby corn is young maize cob which is harvested before its pollination .It is unfertilized maize .Baby corn is one of the popular dessert used in many country whereas it is less popular in our country , Nepal. In Nepal, growing maize for baby corn is less popular. The benefits of baby corn are:

1. Low in calorie

2. Rich in fibres

3. Low - Carb Veggie

4. Nutrition dense

5. Stimulates digestion

6. Promotes high vision

7. Rich source of folate

8. High returns

Different recipe of baby corn can be prepared. I want to share you about how I made baby corn curry . I harvested fresh baby corn from field in my collage. We can harvest it about after 2 month of sowing where the cob are too young i. e .before it is pollination. Also, we can prevent pollination by de-tasselling. We can fry it, born it of make curry .I first boiled it , then fried it. It was new food item for me and it was new experience having corn by boiling and frying. If want to try it you can harvest corn from your field and try it.

I have shared the baby corn item that I had made below:
