World Zoonosis Day,celebrated at JULY 6,every year marks the work of French biologist Louis Pasteur who,on 6 July 1995,sucessfully administered the 1st vaccine aganist the zoonotic disease rabies
.A zoonosis(plural zoonoses) is an infectious diseases caused by the pathogens that spread between animal and human.
Different zoonotic diseases like COVID-19 which is the latest one, including Ebola,MERS which spread from animals hosts into human population has been intensified by deterioting human impacts on the environment. And,It is clear that if we keep on exploiting wildlife and destroying our ecosystems then we will see number of steady stream of those diseases in the years ahead.
So, to prevent future outbreaks, all the countries need to work to conserve wild habitats, promote sustainable agriculture, strengthen food safety and stop the illegal trade in wildlife.
