Global pollution

It was a normal day today. I was relaxing under the alluring scenery of nature, cloud. The sun was about to set. The radiant reddish, orange and pinkish clouds were providing additive attractiveness to the sky. I was blessed to watch that wonderful view created by our nature. Sometime later I saw clusters of yellowish clouds. I had seen those sorts of cloud before but today it was something odd. I searched it on google and I was shocked to know the effects we humans are creating.

The white, red, orange, pink cloud are appeared due to the scattering effect. Everybody knows that, those basic scientific stuffs. But the yellowish clouds are appeared due to the presence of high amount of Nitrogen dioxide, seen mostly in those areas which has high air pollution levels. I wasn¡¯t aware of those things. Our sky is also facing the human unusual behaviors.

I am a science student. I know the value of the cosmos knowledge. But does it is worthy enough if we get those rewards by destroying our nature. A NASA space shuttle alone release 28 tons of Co2. United states and China are announced as the developed nations. I don¡¯t think so. China is the world¡¯s largest producer of Co2 followed by U.S. On an average about 40 billion tons of Co2 is released in the atmosphere annually. Among which 25% are absorbed by the land plants and trees and the other 25% is absorbed by the ocean biosphere. The remaining 50% remains for the sake of global warming.

We are humans. These three words means nothing now. We humans have exploited every things. The 25% Co2 absorbed by the oceans. Sadly, the percentage are decreasing gradually. Photosynthetic plankton are responsible for Co2 absorption and O2 production. Almost 50-80% O2 comes from the oceans. The planktons are the real unknown heroes working each and every second for our sake. They are responsible for the stability of the oxygen ratio in our environment. But the greatest invention of human kinds are suffocating them. Annually 300 million tons of plastic are produced among which 50% are for single use purposes and about 8 million tons of plastics are dumped in the oceans. Those plastics are suffocating the oceans and killing planktons. Planktons require sunlight for respiration but the thick layer of plastics floating on the ocean doesn¡¯t allow to pass it and causing direct death of planktons.

The Ocean Cleanup is a nonprofitable organization working day and night to clean the oceans along with 17 NGOs. They are fighting for protecting our ecosystem and hoping to create healthier oceans once again.

I was happy that the remaining 25% Co2 is absorbed by the land plants and trees. But nonetheless recent studies show that the land trees and plants are losing their capacity to absorb humans Co2 due to excessive land pollutions created by us.

Now and then in every movie we saw pleasing beaches and mesmerizing oceans views. But the bitter truth lies much ahead. There are only few beaches and oceans where the pollutions are not reached. The true scenery of the beaches and oceans are below.

Guys I strongly suggest you to protect our ecosystem. I know a single step cannot change it but if we all bring that very step in us then certainly, we are going to succeed. I know we cannot stop those gigantic industries from running but at least we can minimize our needs and recycle or reuse the plastic products. About 5 million years ago, nature was the one who had provided us a golden opportunity to live in its lap. We need to respect that decision but we humans are killing the nature for our high life livelihood. We need to stop that. The Ocean Cleanup can¡¯t eradicate the whole mess we had created in the past decades and which we are creating now. But together we can. Its time to bring change for our survival, for our nature, for our upcoming generations, for the smiling nature. We need to make those three words meaningful again, We Are Humans.
